FemTech - My Story
Hi there,
I’m Divya (Sriram) Patel, and I’m researching reproductive health for women. I want to envision a world where women can make data and experience driven decisions for their hormonal and fertility health.
I am looking to learn:
What are the primary goals for your hormonal/fertility health?
What kinds of decisions and choices are you looking to make around your goals?
How do you make decisions about your reproductive health?
Where do you get information around your hormonal and fertility health?
How does this information guide your decisions?
You’d be a great fit if you are 19-45 and:
You’re currently struggling with a hormonal/fertility issue
You’re looking to improve your hormonal/fertility situation
You’re ready to get pregnant, trying, or struggling to conceive
You’re wanting to freeze eggs/embryos
You’ve frozen eggs/embryos
My story: I’ve struggled with hormonal imbalance and irregular periods for many years. I also recently froze embryos with my partner, you can read about my journey here: https://divyasrirampatel.substack.com/p/eggembryo-freezing. There’s so much information (and misinformation) online that I found it really difficult to be confident behind the choices for my reproductive health. I want to build a future where we can equip women with the necessary information to make informed choices.

I am currently taking a sabbatical from my career as a Product Manager. With all this free time, the thing I was craving to do the most was connect with other humans. I needed to find a scalable, sustainable way of finding, connecting, and learning from people.
So I decided to start a side project during my sabbatical.

I been in the Bay Area my whole life. I love the culture of innovation in the Bay, and I often think "if I want to start a new business, how would I do it."
While there are a ton of "founder spaces", I never felt that I belonged in them.
I couldn’t be the only one that felt this way. So I set out to speak with South Asian women founders to understand how they started their ventures, what their challenges were, and what they wished they could’ve had to accelerate their work.

I’m on a mission to speak with 100 South Asian women who are either:
current founders
looking to start a new venture with an idea they have
Are you a South Asian Woman founder? Or are you looking start a new business?
I’d love to interview YOU as a part of this project.
FAQs

Not at the moment.
Phase 1: The goal of interviewing 100 South Asian women is to truly understand where these women are today. I want to take the time to gather this data that doesn't exist.
Phase 2: Are there solutions and spaces that could help accelerate this work? Totally. Do I know what this will be right now? Not yet.
